Autism Education Endorsement

Program Overview

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has been noted as the fastest growing disability area both nationally and internationally. There is a critical shortage of teachers who are qualified to work with these students. Only four courses (12 credits) beyond a valid certificate in special education or Exceptional Student Education (ESE) are needed for the Autism Endorsement. By enrolling in two 7-week courses each semester, you can complete your Autism Endorsement in just two short semesters! Class sizes are small and are taught by experienced faculty in ESE, so you receive the attention you need to be successful with your students.
