The State of Florida has reciprocity agreements with other states, thus making it easier for Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± students to become a certified teacher in another state.
To increase the chances of earning certification outside of Florida, students should obtain aÌýMaster of Science in Education. Although Florida does not currently require a master's degree for permanent certification, many of the other states do. Receiving the master's degree broadens the student's career options, allowing him/her to pursue teaching elsewhere. Students are strongly encouraged to receive Florida Teacher Certification prior to transitioning into other state(s) education system.
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½±'s School of Education is here to help students understand the requirements necessary for out-of-state certification. For more information about reciprocity, please contact the Department of Education in the state you wish to receive a certification from.
