How Our Graduates Are Prepared

  • Our graduates are classroom ready in聽early childhood,听elementary, or聽special education teaching, with a content minor in one of the following areas: Math, Science, Literature, or Social Science.
  • Our graduates receive a State of Florida endorsement in聽English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)聽that help effectively educate linguistically- and culturally-diverse children.
  • The State of Florida has聽reciprocity聽agreements with other states so it is easy for our students to become a certified teacher in another state.
  • Students can obtain a聽Master of Science in Education (MS)聽in one year, which increases the chances of earning certification outside of Florida. Receiving the master's degree broadens our graduates' career options, allowing them to pursue teaching elsewhere.
  • With two endorsements and a master's in education, our graduates can receive a higher salary than teachers with just a bachelor's degree once they enter the job market.
