Federal Pell Grant
A need-based federal program. Eligibility for this award is determined through the financial aid application process. Annually renewable by completing the FAFSA (and showing demonstrated need) and maintaining a 2.0 GPA with at least a 67% completion rate of attempted courses. Awards range from $750 to $7395. Available to full-time and part-time undergraduates. Eligibility is based on:听
- Expected Family Contribution (EFC)
- Cost of Attendance
- Enrollment status (full-time or part-time)
The Pell Grant has a lifetime limit of six years, or the equivalent of 12 full-time semesters.
Year-Round Pell Grant: Students who are eligible for a Pell Grant may be eligible to receive additional Pell Grant funding in the Summer.
To be eligible for a Summer Pell Grant, students must:
- File the FAFSA for the upcoming year
- Complete all verification requirements (if applicable)
- Register for at least 6 credits for the summer term
- 惭别别迟听Satisfactory Academic Progress
Note: Any Pell Grant received in the Summer will count toward your Pell Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU).
What Is The Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU)?
The Pell Lifetime Eligibility Used is the amount of Pell Grant funds you receive over your lifetime. LEU is expressed as a percentage. Pell is limited by federal law to six years of funding. Since the maximum amount of Pell Grant funding you can receive each year is equal to 100%, the six-year equivalent is 600%.

What Happens If I Drop Below Half-Time (6 Credits) Enrollment In The Summer?
It is possible that you could owe money back for all or part of your Federal Pell Grant if you do not complete classes that you registered for.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
A federal program for students with exceptional need who are also eligible for the Pell Grant program. Awards range from $400-$1,000 per academic year. The typical award is $800. Annually renewable by completing the FAFSA (and showing high level of demonstrated need) and maintaining a 2.0 GPA with at least a 67% completion rate of attempted courses.听
Federal Work-Study Program (FWS)
Federal Work-Study听is a need-based program that enables students to work part-time on campus while gaining valuable work experience. Students are paid on a biweekly basis.
Federal Direct Loan Program
This program provides low-interest loans to students and parents. Direct Loans are available in the Summer for students who are enrolled at least half-time.听Learn More.
