Gloria L. Schaab, SSJ, Professor of Theology and Chair of the Department of Theology and Philosophy, has published a new book on the Holy Spirit. Entitled听Liberating Pneumatologies: Spirit Set Free, this book is a contemporary examination of the theology of the Holy Spirit from the perspectives of a variety of ecclesial and contextual locations with an emphasis on the liberating action of the Holy Spirit in human lives. Its ecclesial content includes Pentecostal, Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox pneumatologies, with insights from contemporary theologians from each perspective. Its distinctive feature is its examination of pneumatologies from feminist, womanist, mujerista, Latin American, Black, Latinx, and cosmological theologians with a focus on unique images and liberating actions of the Holy Spirit in each social and cultural context. Ultimately, this particular emphasis on the liberating action of the Spirit is the unique contribution of this book. This is Schaab鈥檚 fourth book since coming to 香港六合彩官网开奖. Others include听If God is For Us: Christian Perspectives on God and Suffering听(2016),听Trinity in Relation: Creation, Incarnation, and Grace in an Evolving Cosmos听(2012), and听The Creative Suffering of the Triune God: An Evolutionary Theology听(2007).
