�鶹����’s Bob and Ann Woolf Veteran Career Initiative (VCI) received an “Excellence in Programming” award at the second annual Inter-University Council of Ohio’s Military Connected Student Symposium held on Feb. 11, at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium.

Meet Adriana Hines, a senior criminology and justice study major with a concentration in justice and human relations, from Washington, D.C., whose high school experiences led to interests in law and criminal justice.

When �鶹���� alumna Aysia Kemp declared her major in the first semester of her sophomore year, she felt confident in her chosen path. However, things didn’t quite start off that way. Kemp credits her experiences in the Exploratory Program for leading her to her ideal career.

With the release of the new 2025 Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, �鶹���� has once again been awarded the prestigious R1 designation, recognizing Kent State as one of the top research universities in the nation. 

The KSU Surplus Store opened on East Main Street in September of 2023. It recently moved to a new location – on campus in the vacant College of Business Administration Building. The new location offers single-floor shopping and easier access for students and faculty.
