�鶹���� is building on the legacy of May 4, 1970, and the mission of its School of Peace and Conflict Studies, when it joins forces with the University of Rwanda in July to help advance peace education across the globe.

During the four-day Air Race Classic, Kent State alumna Laura Wilson and junior Peyton Turner will fly 2,400 miles and make nine timed flybys at airports in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida before landing in Homestead, Florida.

"Poetry and science are not opposites, they’re actually allies," said David Hassler, director of �鶹����’s Wick Poetry Center. 

Hassler paraphrases American poet Jane Hirshfield, who, in 2017, contacted him to collaborate on a Poets for Science project, which is now an interactive exhibit and writing invitation housed at the Wick Poetry Center on the Kent Campus.
